The Beye PTO offers numerous enrichment programs during and after school. Fee based after-school programs are administered by the Beye After-School Academy (BASA).

K-2nd Grade Zumba Dance Exercise for Girls with Professional Fitness Trainer, Laurie Berggren
Join the Party! Experience the latest in fun aerobic dance choreographed to a variety of music from around the world (heavy in Latin themes). Dance Segment will last 30-40minutes, followed by basic cool-down stretching. Your kids will love the music and love the moves!!!
Day: Wednesdays
Dates: Feb 15, 22, 29, March 7, 14, 21
Time: 2:15pm – 3:15pm
Minimum 4 students
Participants will meet Laurie in the Commons immediately after school and walk 1 block south to The Yoga Centre (266 Lake Street). Restroom/changing room facilities available. Beautiful and spacious studio with mirrors is being offered for our convenience and enjoyment. Only $10/class. Must prepay for all 6 classes ($60 fee). Pick-up is at The Yoga Centre at 3:15pm sharp. There is no reception staff on premises.

3rd-5th Grade Sports Agility, Fast Feet and Quickness Drills with Professional Fitness Trainer, Laurie Berggren
Engage in pre-game warmups, sports conditioning and basic strength and flexibility training. Try out all the cool fitness toys used by pro athletes including agility and speed ladders, hurdles, slide boards, glider discs, jump boxes, BOSU’s, jump ropes, exertubing, therabands, body blades, medicine balls, and more. High energy class that’s fun for kids and wonderful for enhancing athletic performance. Learn at a young age how to prepare better for sports performance and how to reduce the risk of injury.

Dates: Feb 16, 23, March 1, 8, 15, 22
Time: 3:15pm – 4:15pm
Minimum 4 students
Participants will meet Laurie in the Commons immediately after school and walk 1 1/2 blocks south to The Tennis and Fitness Centre (301 lake St.) Restroom/changing facilities available. Open court space and professional props/equipment provided for our convenience and enjoyment. $10/class. Must prepay for all 6 classes ($60 fee). Pick-up is at The Tennis and Fitness Centre at 4:15pm. If parent is late, child may wait in TFC Lobby until parent/guardian arrives. There is a full-time reception staff on premises.

To register and pay for BASA Session II Winter 2012 programs
- Download the program descriptions here.
- Fill out the online Google form located at http://bit.ly/vR8Jkc . Include your check number if you are paying by check. Click the Submit button to finish your registration. You will receive a “Thanks! Your response will now appear in the BASA spreadsheet.” message if you submitted the information correctly.
- You can also print out the Google form and fill it out.
- You can also email your registration information to beyeafterschool@gmail.com
- Make Payment
- Write a check payable to the Beye PTO for the amount. Place the check in an envelope marked BASA. Include your Google form if you printed it. Drop the envelope off in the Beye office or place it in your child’s backpack to give to his or her teacher During the winter break, you can mail the check and Google form to Melissa Narum 335 S Harvey Oak Park IL 60302.
- Pay by PayPal. After filling out the Google form at http://bit.ly/vR8Jkc, click the “Add to Cart” buttons below to select programs and make payment. Online payment and registration require you to fill out the online form. PayPal only takes payment. It will not register students. You must fill out the online form to complete the registration process.
BASA has a scholarship fund to help families of students afford program tuition. You can help more students enroll in after-school programs by clicking the donate button and adding money to the scholarship fund through your credit card.
